Apple Fitness+ Expands to 28 New Markets
In a significant expansion since its launch, Apple Fitness+ will now be available in 28 new markets, including Chile, Hong Kong, India, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Taiwan, starting December 15. The service will also introduce dubbing in Spanish, German, and Japanese.
Apple announced today that its award-winning fitness service, Apple Fitness+, is set to expand to new regions, with Japan debuting early next year. This move marks the largest rollout since the service’s inception five years ago, bringing hundreds of workouts and meditation sessions digitally dubbed in Spanish, German, and Japanese, with new dubbed episodes added weekly. A new music genre, K-Pop, will also be introduced to the platform.
“The seamless integration of Fitness+ across Apple devices inspires users to pursue healthier lifestyles,” said Jay Blahnik, Apple’s Vice President of Fitness Technologies. “Whether viewing real-time metrics on an Apple Watch or taking the service on the go via iPhone or iPad, we are thrilled to share this experience with even more users around the world during this significant expansion.”
With this expansion, residents in 49 countries can now enjoy 12 different workout types such as Strength, Yoga, HIIT, Pilates, Dance, Cycling, Kickboxing, and Meditation, with episode lengths varying from five to 45 minutes on devices like iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. Users can enhance their experience with an Apple Watch or AirPods Pro 3, where personal metrics like heart rate and calories burned are displayed onscreen. Custom Plans will tailor a fitness schedule based on personal preferences.
Dubbing in Spanish, German, and Japanese
To enhance accessibility, Fitness+ will offer digitally dubbed workouts and meditations in Spanish and German, with Japanese dubbing scheduled for early next year coinciding with the service’s launch in Japan. Each dubbed episode will feature a voice that replicates the trainers’ actual voices. Users can select their preferred audio language in the app.
New K-Pop Music Genre
Fitness+ will also include a new K-Pop music genre, complementing existing genres like Upbeat Anthems and Latin Grooves, providing a fresh soundtrack for workouts.
