Golf Outing Before Championship
FRISCO, Texas – Over their three years together on the Cowboys, Brandon Aubrey, Bryan Anger, and Trent Sieg have shared many experiences.
First Golf Round Together
This Tuesday marked a new adventure for the trio as they played a round of golf at the PGA Frisco course ahead of the KMPG Women’s PGA Championship, teaming up with Japanese LPGA rookie Chisato Iwai, who recently won her first LPGA event at the Riviera Maya Open.
A Humbling Experience
The three players vary in golf experience but felt inspired as they observed Iwai’s skills on the course. “Her accuracy off the tee is amazing, and her approach shots leave her in great position for birdies,” Anger commented.
Sharing Their NFL Skills
In return for Iwai showcasing her talent, the group introduced her to elements of NFL kicking and punting, with Aubrey executing a kick that impressed Iwai, while Anger aimed to replicate her precision with a punt.
Competitive Spirit Among Specialists
While playing alongside a professional golfer posed a challenge, it sparked Sieg’s competitive nature. “As athletes, we always seek to improve, and this experience is both humbling and enjoyable,” he shared.
Building Trust as a Team
The camaraderie among Dallas’ specialists holds significance as they prepare for their third season together. “Having trust in each other’s abilities, both on and off the field, is crucial,” Sieg stated. “I know my teammates have my back, which directly impacts our performance.”
Looking Ahead with a New Coordinator
As they embark on a new season, the group will adapt to a new special teams coordinator, Nick Sorensen, who brings fresh perspectives to their routine. “A new set of eyes can elevate our game,” Anger noted, acknowledging the potential benefits of Sorensen’s insights as they continue their journey together.
