Darren Till’s Future in Boxing
Darren Till is exploring various avenues in his post-MMA career. On August 30, he continued his unbeaten boxing streak in his third professional match at Misfits Boxing 22, scoring a decisive knockout against former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in Round 3. This victory effectively concluded Rockhold’s boxing career.
Upcoming Fights and Opponents
All of Till’s professional boxing fights have taken place in 2025. Prior to facing Rockhold, discussions surfaced about a potential matchup with controversial influencer Andrew Tate. In a recent appearance on “The Ariel Helwani Show,” Till hinted that he plans to return to the ring this year, with Tate being the likely challenger. Reports indicate that Tate is already engaged in talks to fight for Misfits Boxing despite his ongoing legal issues.
Till’s Thoughts on Tate
“I’m definitely fighting again this year, likely in December,” Till stated. He expressed doubts about Tate’s ability to handle an eight-round match, suggesting they might settle for six. “I don’t really care about the weight class,” he added.
Contract and Future Options
After his win over Rockhold, Till revealed that it was the last fight under his Misfits contract. He’s open to returning but is also considering options with the UFC or a potential debut with BKFC, emphasizing that it ultimately depends on which organization compensates him fairly.
Legal Issues Surrounding Andrew Tate
Tate, currently entangled in numerous legal issues globally, was arrested in Romania in 2022 for various serious charges, including human trafficking. Additional allegations surfaced in May 2023 in the UK regarding rape and other crimes. Despite these challenges, Till believes their boxing match is likely to materialize soon.
Other Fight Possibilities
Following his match against Rockhold, Till mentioned the possibility of fighting retired boxing Hall of Famer Carl Froch, after a playful exchange on social media. He hopes to engage Froch in a match, given that promoter Eddie Hearn showed interest in making that fight happen.
Connection with Mike Perry
Another name that often comes up is bare-knuckle boxing standout Mike Perry. While both fighters have been linked since their UFC days, a fight has yet to happen. Perry will next face Jeremy Stephens at BKFC 82. Till prefers to focus on traditional boxing for now, stating that bare-knuckle fighting isn’t what he wants at this stage due to concerns over potential damage.
