Astros Launch New City Connect Uniforms for 2025 Season
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Houston Astros have recently revealed their new City Connect uniforms, which received an enthusiastic response from players and manager Joe Espada alike. The uniforms were announced on Wednesday and will be available for fans to buy starting Thursday.
Shortstop Jeremy Peña expressed his excitement, stating, “I love them. I think they look clean. I believe the team did a great job, and the fans are going to love them.”
The Astros will debut their City Connect 2.0 uniforms on March 31 against the Giants at Daikin Park. These uniforms maintain the space theme consistent with their original City Connect designs and will be worn during home games on Mondays and during City Connect Weekend from April 11-13.
City Connect 2.0 merchandise will be on sale at Union Station in Daikin Park starting at midnight on Wednesday through 11:59 p.m. Thursday.
Espada noted the team’s enthusiasm for the new look, mentioning, “I see the players sharing it on social media. I think the jerseys and hats will sell out quickly. The white design looks clean and fresh; I can’t wait to wear it on Monday.”
The jersey’s futuristic design prominently features the nickname “Stros” across the chest for the first time, while its lunar patterns honor the historic moon landing and the ambition of returning to the moon in the future.
Further design details include a hat logo integrating a rainbow gradient star inside a modified “A”, symbolizing the team’s history. Utility player Mauricio Dubón praised the uniform’s modern details, stating, “Everything has good detail with the numbers. It’s modern with a little throwback, and it’s my favorite one so far.”
