Raptors Edge 76ers in Overtime Thriller
Scottie Barnes sank a decisive free throw with just 0.8 seconds left in overtime, leading the Toronto Raptors to a 116-115 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday night. This game marked the first of two consecutive meetings between the two teams, both of which were missing key players.
Barnes successfully made the first of two free throws, but intentionally missed the second, securing Toronto’s third consecutive home win against Philadelphia. He finished the night with an impressive 10 out of 12 free throws.
In addition to Barnes’ standout performance, Jamal Shead contributed a career-high 22 points, and Immanuel Quickley chipped in 20. Collin Murray-Boyles also made his mark, scoring 17 points and grabbing a career-high 15 rebounds.
On the opposing side, Tyrese Maxey led the way for the 76ers with 38 points. VJ Edgecombe added 17, while Kelly Oubre Jr., Domnick Barlow, and Quentin Grimes each contributed 13 points. Despite the loss, Philadelphia’s record remains strong, with only two defeats in their last seven games.

In Orlando, Paulo Banchero scored 23 points, helping the Magic beat the New Orleans Pelicans, who are struggling with 10 losses in their last 11 games. Zion Williamson led New Orleans with 22 points.
Meanwhile, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Oklahoma City Thunder to victory over Miami with 29 points, overcoming an initial slow start. The Heat, led by Andrew Wiggins with 23 points, faced their third consecutive defeat.
Finally, in Minneapolis, Anthony Edwards helped the Timberwolves complete a comeback from a 19-point deficit to defeat the San Antonio Spurs with a late go-ahead shot. Edwards contributed 23 points, while Julius Randle’s strong defensive performance was pivotal in the final moments of the game.
