During last week’s Game Awards, it was revealed that the next-generation Tomb Raider, developed by Crystal Dynamics, is titled Tomb Raider: Catalyst. Set to release in 2027, it will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X and S, and is published by Amazon Game Studios.
Reimagining of the Classic
In addition to Catalyst, the upcoming Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will offer a modern take on the original 1996 game, utilizing Unreal Engine 5 and set for release next year. Both titles will feature Alix Wilton Regan as the new Lara Croft.

Players will take on the role of Lara Croft as they explore lost locations, solve puzzles, and confront threats in search of the powerful artifact known as the Scion. Set to launch for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2026, it coincides with the franchise’s 30th anniversary.
