Charley Hull Strikes Again — Golf Fans Are Loving It.
The 29-year-old LPGA sensation sent social media into a frenzy on Tuesday after what appeared to be a new hairstyle, posting a selfie featuring dark blonde hair that had fans doing a double take.
Shortly after, the English golfer revealed the truth.
“Just kidding — still blonde,” Hull admitted in her Instagram Story, confirming that her iconic light hair remains unchanged.
She had cleverly used a hair color app to trick her followers, and it certainly succeeded.
Déjà Vu?
If this sounds familiar, it’s because Hull has done something similar before. Last year, ahead of her winter vacation, she pranked her fans by posting a photo sporting a jet-black wig, captioning it: “I’m defo a blonde.”
Hull Aiming for a Strong End to the 2025 LPGA Season
Hull’s playful antics follow a strong performance at the International Crown, where she assisted the World team in securing third place alongside Lydia Ko, Wei-Ling Hsu, and Brooke Henderson. Although Australia took home the title, Hull’s impressive form was one of the highlights of the week.
Next, she will compete in the Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican (November 13–16), hoping to improve upon her runner-up finish from last year behind Nelly Korda. Notably, this event will also mark the surprise LPGA debut of Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump.
Following that, Hull will conclude her LPGA season at the CME Group Tour Championship (November 20–23) at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, which is significant as it’s where she won her first LPGA title in 2016. She’s currently positioned 14th in the Race to CME Globe Rankings, aiming for a big finish.
The Steady Rise of Hull in Golf
Hull’s rise to fame isn’t solely due to her golf skills; her engaging personality has made her a favorite among fans. Her notoriety surged two years ago when she was seen smoking between shots, later admitting it helped her stay relaxed. Although she’s moved on from smoking, her charm has only increased her popularity.
Recently, she attended a State Banquet hosted by King Charles in honor of President Trump, where she enjoyed the chance to discuss golf with him. Trump even expressed interest in inviting her for a round at his new course in Aberdeen, demonstrating Hull’s growing influence far beyond the fairways.
2026: Year of Major Potential for Hull?
Despite a remarkable season, including three top-10 finishes in 13 starts, Hull is still chasing her first major title. Her best opportunity came this year at the AIG Women’s Open, where she finished as runner-up for the second time in three years, just shy of lifting the trophy.
Golf legend Dame Laura Davies expressed confidence that Hull’s major breakthrough is on the horizon. With her impressive performances, the upcoming 2026 season could be the one where Hull finally secures a major title.
Whether teasing fans with her latest hair look, excelling on the leaderboard, or captivating attendees at royal events, Hull continues to entertain the golf community. Her unique blend of talent and humor makes her a standout figure in modern golf.
