Denny Hamlin — Winner: “Being part of Toyota and Joe Gibbs Racing certainly enhances our situation. In recent races, I’ve had a strong car, which reflects well on me. I owe a huge thanks to my entire team; they made this possible. After a challenging offseason, I needed some time to get back into the groove of racing. However, over the past few weeks, I’ve rekindled my passion and refocused. This sport is a family endeavor, and my family has made considerable sacrifices to help me reach this point. As my career evolves, generations of Hamlins look up to me. It’s wonderful for my mom to witness this, and I can hear my dad proudly saying, ‘That’s my boy.’ Today was incredible. I feel honored to be mentioned among the sport’s legends. Though I don’t consider myself as talented as some of them, I work hard to improve my skills. Days like today make me appreciate my position in the sport and motivate me to continue striving for excellence.”
Chase Elliott — Second: “The end of the race was definitely better than how we started. I sensed there might be a chance since I noticed Denny starting to struggle towards the end of runs. While I’m disappointed to come so close to a victory, I need to recognize the improvements we made today compared to previous races. Winning in this sport is tough, and I’m proud of the team’s effort and the preparation that got us here. Coming from a not-so-great day to being competitive with the top drivers is a significant achievement. I would have liked to execute a little better in the final laps. Kudos to Denny for maintaining his position under pressure; it’s commendable. So, I have mixed feelings about today’s outcome.”
William Byron — Third: “I initially thought we had a good restart position, but I got too loose entering turn three, which set us back and hurt my tire performance. Still, this was a solid result for us. Our Chevrolet team performed well today, and I’m proud of our hard work back at the shop, especially with the new body configuration. If we can continue to build on performances like this, we’ll be in a good spot. We’re putting in a lot of laps, and this familiarity is helpful for us drivers. Testing gives us the chance to fine-tune the car in ways we normally might miss. The last test session yielded valuable insights that turned out beneficial, and I hope we can apply what we learned to enhance our performance this season.”
Christopher Bell — Fourth: “We didn’t perform at our best when it mattered most. At times, our Interstate Batteries Toyota showed speed, particularly during the first stage when we led the race. However, I struggled with restarts and didn’t capitalize on them. It was a good finish for Joe Gibbs Racing, but I’m still looking for that first win.”
Ty Gibbs — Fifth: “Overall, it was a good day for us. I sped in the pits, which was unfortunate, but I felt we were competitive throughout the race. Thanks to my No. 54 Toyota team for their hard work. Today was enjoyable.”
Kyle Larson — Seventh: “During the second stage, my car became quite loose. At the start of the final stage, I struggled to get the necessary push and lost positions due to a strong run from Christopher Bell. My car’s balance felt off, and I was hoping for a caution to help us regroup. Despite the challenges, I’m pleased with another top-10 finish for the No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet team, and we had some strong moments. Looking forward, we can build on what we achieved today.”
Chase Briscoe — Eighth: “Our Toyota was strong, which helped us climb through the ranks. A timely caution contributed to our performance, but I wish I hadn’t sped in the pits; that cost us a chance at a better finish. It’s crucial to minimize errors at this level. Thankfully, we managed to recover somewhat and set our sights on the next race in Darlington.”
Austin Dillon — Twelfth: “It was a solid day overall. While my Chevrolet was tight for most of the race, our team continually made adjustments that improved it. The last change was particularly beneficial, especially for the restart. I believe this group is capable of achieving solid results, and we will continue to build on our performance.”
