Discover the full list of Exotic armor updates set to arrive in Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate.
The upcoming expansion, Edge of Fate, is set to launch on July 15, 2025. It introduces the new location of Kepler, a much-anticipated Armor 3.0 system, new Dark Matter powers, and revamps the mechanics of armor tiers and stats across the game.
In addition to these features, the expansion will introduce a variety of new Exotic weapons and armor for each class and numerous quality-of-life adjustments. Significant modifications will also be made to several existing Exotic armor pieces.
Bungie previously hinted at new Exotics, and now we have a comprehensive list of updates that will enhance familiar armor, tweak perk functionalities, and revive previously overlooked gear.
Exotic Armor Reworks in Edge of Fate
This detailed list of armor updates was unveiled in Bungie’s recent This Week in Destiny blog. Here’s everything that’s getting revised:
Hunter Updates
- The Dragon’s Shadow:
- Now passively boosts weapon stability and readiness speed.
- Dodging now reloads your equipped weapon but no longer affects holstered ones.
- Activating your dodge ability grants various effects temporarily.
- Speedloader Slacks:
- Enhanced the Tight Fit perk to reload all weapons upon dodging and grant increased handling and reload speed to you and nearby allies. Extra dodges strengthen and renew the buff.
- Inflicting sustained damage now returns class ability energy.
- Mask of Bakris:
- Effects now activate when either Arc or Stasis Super is equipped.
- Reworked “Light Shift” to provide a damage boost to eligible weapons and returns class ability energy for weapon final blows.
- Khepri’s Sting:
- Automatic Smoke Bomb activation upon melee attack has been removed. New function: killing weakened targets creates a burst of weakening smoke and replenishes smoke bomb energy.
- Melee updates include significant damage bonuses for various abilities, enhancing the gameplay experience.
Warlock Updates
- Starfire Protocol:
- Now activates with Radiant damage.
- Boost in energy gain from Fusion Grenade damage dealt.
- Adjustment in energy gain from final blows.
- Wings of Sacred Dawn:
- Enemies are less accurate while the Tome of Dawn is active. Solar weapon final blows grant Restoration and reload stowed weapons when a Solar Super is equipped.
- Felwinters Helm:
- New effect: “Powered melee damage weakens targets” with a 15% weaken application.
- Promethium Spurs:
- Reworked perk mechanics to grant additional class ability energy and unique benefits based on Rift type.
- Melee changes include increased damage bonuses for specific abilities, aiming to enhance Warlock capabilities.
Titan Updates
- Crest of Alpha Lupi: New effects include additional healing pulses when taking sustained damage behind a barricade.
- Phoenix Cradle: Visual updates and additional effects that enhance gameplay interaction with allies.
- Mk .44 Stand Asides: Updated mechanics for sprinting to enhance ally support.
- Overall melee boosts: Enhancements in various abilities to increase damage efficiency in PvE scenarios.
