Ex-Girlfriend of Sean Combs Files Civil Lawsuit
Chelsea Lovelace, an ex-girlfriend of Sean Combs, who previously alleged that he pressured her into “freak-offs” before allegedly drugging her at his Miami home in July, has refiled her civil lawsuit using her real name.
Lawsuit Details and Timing
Lovelace’s lawsuit, which includes accusations of sexual assault, was filed on September 27, 2024, shortly after Combs was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation for prostitution.
Choosing to Speak Out
Initially using a pseudonym due to the sensitive nature of her claims, Lovelace explained her decision to reveal her true identity was driven by a desire to prioritize “healing over hiding.”
Allegations of Manipulation and Control
In a statement, Lovelace reflected on her relationship with Combs, expressing that what she thought was genuine care turned into manipulation and abuse. “I was not seen as a person with a soul, but as a pawn in a much larger game,” she stated.
Unsettling Claims in the Complaint
The 18-page legal complaint details that Lovelace met Combs in late 2020, eventually leading to a relationship where she alleges he pressured her to perform sexual acts and introduced substances to manipulate her consent.
Allegations of Drugging and Abuse
Lovelace claims that during their time together, she was often compelled to consume alcohol and drugs, leading to unconsciousness and confusion about events that transpired, including waking up with injuries she couldn’t recall.
Legal Pursuit for Justice
Lovelace, represented by attorney Joseph Ciaccio, seeks compensatory damages, believing that her decision to publicly disclose her identity represents a significant step toward accountability and healing. “I believe in God’s timing… today, I choose to walk forward with my head held high,” she concluded.
