Testimony Progresses in Diddy Trial
Following a break for Memorial Day, the third week of the trial against Sean “Diddy” Combs resumed in New York City on Tuesday.
Diddy has been asserting his innocence against numerous allegations, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. If found guilty, he could be facing a minimum of 15 years in prison, with potential life sentences for additional charges that include arson and bribery.
Last week’s testimony centered around Cassie Ventura, who provided explicit details about her relationship with Combs. She spoke of violent episodes, drug use, and serious allegations including rape. Read her full testimony here.
Among those who testified were an escort linked to Ventura’s experiences, and an agent detailing the evidence found during Combs’ arrest at a NYC hotel in September 2024, along with former Danity Kane member, Dawn Richard.
Week 3, Tuesday
Capricorn Clark, Combs’ former assistant, testified about her transition to a new role as marketing director for his women’s line after leaving her personal assistant position, which allowed her to avoid close contact with him. During this time, she also became Ventura’s creative director.
Clark revealed that Combs maintained control over all aspects of Ventura’s career, including her look and professional opportunities. Her testimony underscored the tense environment surrounding Ventura’s relationships, including her romantic involvement with Scott Mescudi.
