Testimony at Diddy’s Trial
NEW YORK (AP) — During cross-examination, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ former girlfriend shared on Tuesday that she engaged in sexual activities with male workers at Combs’ request, as it made her feel loved. However, she now regrets what she describes as the “cuckold” lifestyle.
Identity Protection
The witness, referred to as “Jane” to protect her identity, testified at Combs’ sex-trafficking trial. She revealed that their three-year relationship continued until his arrest in September at a New York hotel, where she was set to meet him.
Charges Against Combs
Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges that could lead to a sentence of 15 years to life in prison. He is currently held without bail.
Allegations of Control and Abuse
Prosecutors assert that Combs manipulated and abused women using violence, threats, and a network of associates over a span of two decades. His defense attorneys argue that while there may have been instances of domestic violence, all sexual acts were consensual.
Previous Testimonies
Earlier in the trial, R&B artist Casandra “Cassie” Ventura testified that Combs physically abused her and that she took part in hundreds of sexual performances during their nearly 11-year relationship that lasted until 2018.
Regrets and Realizations
Jane expressed resentment toward Combs for leading her into the lifestyle, stating, “I resent him for leading me into the lifestyle he led me to.” She noted that her participation in “hotel nights” was driven by emotional pressure and a desire to maintain her relationship with him.
Therapy and Understanding
Jane shared that she began therapy three months ago to understand her experiences better. She initially felt special about her secret interactions with Combs but later educated herself about related sexual terms, realizing that her lifestyle mirrored that of a “cuck,” who derives pleasure from seeing his partner with another man.
Cassie’s Lawsuit
In earlier testimonies, Jane cited examples of Combs’ violent behavior towards others while pursuing his sexual endeavors. Notably, Cassie sued Combs in November 2023 for sexual abuse. Although the lawsuit was settled quickly for $20 million, it sparked the criminal investigation against him.
