On day 11, a doubles star, Amanda Anisimova and Iga Świątek, both secured their spots in the women’s singles final.
Kateřina Siniaková Triumphs Again
Before stepping onto Centre Court, Kateřina Siniaková had already established herself as a former world No. 1, a 10-time major victor, and an Olympic gold medalist. This year, she continued her campaign alongside American Taylor Townsend, capturing last year’s title together.
In a twist, Siniaková, 29, teamed up for the first time with 31-year-old Sem Verbeek, who ranks No. 29 in men’s doubles, aiming for the mixed title in London.
As expected, they claimed victory, defeating British player Joe Salisbury and Brazilian Luisa Stefani with scores of 7-6(3), 7-6(3). While Siniaková has seven women’s doubles titles with her compatriot Barbora Krejčíková, this marks her first mixed title alongside Verbeek.
Amanda Anisimova’s Remarkable Comeback
Amanda Anisimova’s journey has reached a remarkable pinnacle. The once-promising teen phenomenon, who faced a challenging phase following her father’s and coach’s sudden passing at 17, triumphed over world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka with a score of 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, securing her first Grand Slam final appearance at Wimbledon.
She is the first American female finalist at Wimbledon since Serena Williams in 2019. This victory marks a significant achievement in her comeback over the past year. After battling injuries and burnout, Anisimova fell short in the final round of last year’s Wimbledon qualifiers.
Iga Świątek’s Legacy-Building Moment
Iga Świątek has advanced to her inaugural Wimbledon final, dominating Belinda Bencic with a score of 6-2, 6-0. She showcased a strategic blend of controlled aggression in both her serving and returns, reminiscent of her earlier dominance in the sport.
This achievement makes Świątek the only current female player to have reached a Grand Slam final on every court surface. With five major titles and an impressive history, including 125 weeks ranked No. 1, she stands poised for further glory.

🎾 Jannik Sinner (1) vs. Novak Djokovic (6)
An exciting head-to-head matchup is set to unfold as Djokovic, having evolved his playing style, faces Sinner, who embodies that style perfectly. Key concerns include their physical conditions after recent falls during the tournament.
