Embrace an Active New Year with Apple Watch
This year, Apple Watch continues to encourage users to stay active, with the introduction of new programs on Fitness+. The lineup includes Artist Spotlight workouts and Time To Walk episodes, all designed to help users achieve their fitness objectives as supported by findings from the Apple Heart and Movement Study, indicating that participants with Apple Watch maintain their exercise routines well into January.
The Perfect Fitness Companion
Apple Watch serves as a vital partner in fitness and health, offering daily motivation and valuable insights into users’ workouts and health metrics. Recent research shows that Apple Watch users boost their exercise levels not only in January but also sustain this increase over time. To further encourage activity, users have the opportunity to earn a limited-edition “Ring in the New Year” award and join the “Quit Quitting” Challenge on Strava this month.
New Program Launches on Fitness+
Starting January 5, Apple Fitness+ will unveil four novel workout programs, providing users with structured weekly training plans. The Artist Spotlight series will feature new workouts with playlists from acclaimed artists like KAROL G and Bad Bunny. Additionally, the latest episodes of Time to Walk include notable personalities such as Penn Badgley, Mel B, and Michelle Monaghan.
Staying Motivated Through Challenges
Many individuals abandon their fitness resolutions by the second Friday in January, referred to as Quitter’s Day. However, data from around 100,000 participants in the Apple Heart and Movement Study shows that those with an Apple Watch persist with their exercise regimens past this date. Over 60% of participants increased their daily exercise by over 10% in early January and roughly 80% of those maintained their elevated exercise levels through mid-January.
Unique Challenges and Rewards
To kick-start the new year, Apple Watch users can earn an exclusive limited-edition award for closing their Activity rings for a week. Furthermore, Strava users with an Apple Watch can take part in the “Quit Quitting” challenge throughout January, and upon completing 12 workouts during the month, they will earn an Apple Watch badge in the Strava app.
Fitness+ Tailored for Everyone
Fitness+, now accessible in 48 regions globally, is launching a series of impactful, multi-week programs to help users regain and maintain their activity levels. These include “Make Your Fitness Comeback,” focusing on Strength, HIIT, and Yoga workouts, alongside “Build a Yoga Habit in 4 Weeks,” aimed at enhancing flexibility and reducing stress.
Music and Motivational Content
The Artist Spotlight series is set to return with fresh workouts based on music from renowned artists. Additionally, new episodes of the beloved Time to Walk will bring stories and insights from distinguished guests, contributing to a fulfilling and motivating fitness experience.
