On Tuesday, Lionsgate revealed the first official poster for “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” set to be released in U.S. theaters on October 10.
The impressive cast includes Tonatiuh, Diego Luna, Bruno Bichir, Josefina Scaglione, and Aline Mayagoitia, alongside Lopez.
Interestingly, Affleck is listed as one of eight executive producers on the project through his company, Artists Equity.
Lopez will also return to the stage for a 12-date Las Vegas residency, titled Up All Night Live, starting December 30 at Caesars Palace’s The Colosseum.
In addition to live shows, she has a busy acting schedule including a role in Ol Parker’s Netflix rom-com “Office Romance,” and Robert Zemeckis’ thriller “The Last Mrs. Parrish,” along with producing “Bob the Builder” for Amazon MGM Studios.

In an interview with Variety, Lopez expressed that she had been longing for a role like “Kiss of the Spider Woman.”
“I was waiting my whole life to do a true big MGM Hollywood musical, and I finally got to do it,” she stated. “It was beyond my expectations. Diego and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else but musicals.”
For her, the story conveys a timeless message about the healing power of love.
She noted, “It’s about two different individuals coming together and discovering humanity in each other and falling in love. This is a significant narrative that needs to be shared – we are all just human.”
