After what feels like an age, the second part of Stranger Things season 5 has finally dropped on Netflix, and these new episodes bring the heat.
With the series finale approaching, there’s much to explore in these final episodes. The action-packed scenes are filled with emotional moments, and while some characters face their demise, others have extremely close calls. We will now summarize the fatalities in episodes 5-7 of Stranger Things season 5, along with the characters who manage to narrowly escape death. Spoiler alert ahead!
Who dies in Stranger Things season 5 part 2?
Rest assured, while there are some deaths in the latter part of Stranger Things season 5, none of the major characters perish. You can enjoy all three episodes knowing that the main cast makes it through these episodes and into the series finale. This includes characters like Steve, Nancy, Jonathan, and Eleven, among others.
Now that it’s confirmed that the primary characters survive, let’s discuss the fatalities that do occur in episodes 5-7. In episode 5, after returning to Hawkins, Kali reveals to Eleven how she was captured. In a flashback, we witness the death of Axel at the hands of a soldier, alongside implied deaths of her other friends. Additionally, we find that Kali managed to escape once before, ending two unnamed scientists’ lives in the lab. Meanwhile, Derek’s family is seen in a vision where Vecna shows him their murders to coerce him.
In episode 6, as events unfold, several unnamed military personnel also meet their end at the paws of Demodogs sent after Max. However, it’s worth noting that the deaths in this part of the season are primarily among secondary and unnamed characters.
While these fatalities occur, many characters endure tense moments, ultimately surviving. Jonathan and Nancy become trapped in a melting room but escape with help; Eleven saves her team from a dangerous situation; and Max narrowly avoids death at the hands of Henry. The group navigates through various threats, thanks to quick thinking and teamwork.
