The field for the 2025 Wyndham Championship has exceeded expectations, featuring four players ranked in the top 20 of the Official World Golf Rankings: #7 Keegan Bradley, #12 Hideki Matsuyama, #14 Robert MacIntyre, and #17 Ben Griffin. Notably, Griffin participates every year as he is from North Carolina, while Keegan and Bobby Mac were also competitors last year.
The strong lineup at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro can be attributed to the competition for the last few spots on the 2025 Ryder Cup teams for both the US and Europe. Additionally, this is the concluding event of the PGA TOUR’s 2025 regular season, offering players a final chance to secure a place in the FedExCup Playoffs or to retain their TOUR cards for 2026.
Despite my poor luck with golf betting lately, I am tempted to participate in this week’s Wyndham. Although I managed a winning head-to-head bet during last week’s 3M Open, I still lost -0.57 units (u), leaving my official 2025 PGA TOUR bankroll at -20.25u. Nonetheless, I aim to find my rhythm before the postseason, so here are my top bets and my One-And-Done pick for Sedgefield.
2025 Wyndham Championship Betting Card
Picks to Win at Sedgefield Country Club
The odds listed reflect the prices when I placed these bets and may have shifted since.
- Keegan Bradley (+2800) via BetMGM, risking 0.89u.
- Hideki Matsuyama (+3300) via FanDuel, risking 0.61u.
- Emiliano Grillo (+7000) via Caesars Sportsbook, risking 0.29u.
- Victor Perez (+11000) via FanDuel, risking 0.18u.
Keegan Bradley (+2800)
Victory at the 2025 Wyndham would guarantee Keegan a spot in the Ryder Cup without the need for awkward self-selection as the team captain. The top six in the Ryder Cup standings qualify automatically, while others are chosen by the captain. This year, Bradley is likely to be named if he doesn’t win, but a win would settle the discussion.
With a second Travelers Championship win last month, and being a seven-time PGA TOUR champion, he thrives on short courses like Sedgefield. Notably, he was T2 at the Charles Schwab Challenge and Sony Open last year, indicating his strong course suitability. His driving accuracy has improved in recent tournaments on similar courses.
Hideki Matsuyama (+3300)
While inconsistency off the tee has plagued Matsuyama since his victory at The Sentry, his driving issues largely occur on more challenging courses. Sedgefield, with fewer driver-holes, allows him to adapt. He has performed better in driving accuracy recently, which is key to succeeding in this event.
Emiliano Grillo (+7000)
Grillo may have been slightly premature in my previous picks, but he held his own at the 3M Open, scoring in the 60s throughout. Now sitting at +7000 odds, he aligns well with Sedgefield, showcasing solid statistics in driving accuracy and Par 4 scoring over his recent rounds.
Victor Perez (+11000)
Given the historical average odds of Wyndham champions is +14100, Perez represents an intriguing long-shot. His solid track record on Bermudagrass greens, coupled with strong performance on Par 4s, makes him a compelling bet, especially with eight such holes available at Sedgefield.
Wyndham Championship 2025 ‘One-And-Done Pick’: Keegan Bradley
Due to strategic considerations, I am selecting Keegan Bradley for my ‘One-And-Done’ pick. Being ranked 14th in the “Race for the 2025 Mayo Cup,” and with many of my competitors having already used him, I see this as a chance to capitalize on his solid standing as a favorite in this event.
