Apple’s annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) is here again, and anticipation is high for today’s announcements. Last year’s event introduced Apple Intelligence, which includes updates on machine learning and language models that competitors like Google and Microsoft had led on for years. This year at WWDC 2025, we expect the usual updates for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS.
This time around, Apple might shift to a year-based naming convention, resulting in versions like iOS 26 and watchOS 26, instead of the previously used sequential numbering like iOS 19 or watchOS 12.
