Along with the significant free update “Free Lanes” released today for Starfield, a new paid expansion called “Terran Armada” has also been launched. The question is, is it worth the investment?

It introduces an endgame mode for players who have completed the game, and new players can delve into it earlier than expected. The expansion enhances the overall worldbuilding, and the scale of the new space battle feature is breathtaking. Even if you’ve completed Starfield, this update is a must-see.”
“Since the release of Starfield in 2023, many fans anticipated significant improvements to bring the game closer to its potential, and while Terran Armada does not fully deliver on that, it still adds a substantial portion of enjoyable content. It may not attract those who weren’t impressed by the original game, but fans of the RPG’s expansive universe will find plenty to appreciate in the expansion, even if it doesn’t hit every mark.”
“For players transitioning from Xbox or PC to PlayStation 5, the lack of cross-save functionality is inconvenient, necessitating a new game save. So far, I’ve only barely scratched the surface of the Terran Armada expansion but have already found it more engaging than Shattered Space, particularly due to its emphasis on ship combat and space exploration. I’m eager to continue the storyline and see where it leads.”
“Though I haven’t played the Shattered Space DLC yet, I initiated the Terran Armada quest early, driven by an intriguing radio announcement. It quickly integrates the Free Lanes cruise mode into the quest, making it feel like a fresh storyline atop the existing Starfield rather than just an extension of old content.
