The Detroit Lions (8-6) and Pittsburgh Steelers (8-6) have updated their injury statuses ahead of their Week 16 game in Detroit. The Lions’ interior offensive line is experiencing significant changes due to several starters dealing with injuries or working towards a comeback.
Here’s a summary of the latest injury report to keep you informed. Note: Any updates from the previous report will be bolded.
- OT Giovanni Manu (knee, on IR) — Days left in injury evaluation: 19
- S Kerby Joseph (knee)
Manu returned to practice this week, but with only a couple of sessions completed, he isn’t prepared to play just yet. With more than two weeks still in his evaluation timeline, the Lions are not rushing his return.
Joseph has missed five practices since Coach Dan Campbell mentioned a setback last week, and he still seems far from returning. There’s a possibility he might soon be placed on injured reserve.
- C Graham Glasgow (knee)
- LT Taylor Decker (shoulder)
- LG Christian Mahogany (fibula, on IR) — Days left in injury evaluation: 11
- OL Trystan Colon (wrist)
- CB Amik Robertson (hand)
Glasgow was estimated as able to practice on Wednesday during the team’s walkthrough, but he was a non-participant on Thursday and missed practice on Friday, making him questionable for the game. If he can’t play, the Lions may rely on Trystan Colon, who is also dealing with an injury and is questionable. If Colon is unavailable, the Lions might opt for Michael Niese or practice squad player Kingsley Eguakun.
