Josh Giddey Set to Compete Against Fellow Australians in a Significant Number of NBA Games This Season
It’s remarkable that Australian point guard Josh Giddey could potentially play against other Australians in the NBA 27 times throughout the 2025-26 regular season.
This means that in nearly one-third of his games, he might face a compatriot from the NBA. While it’s improbable that he will encounter this many Australian match-ups, he is likely to compete against as many as 20 Australian players.
Giddey, who celebrates his 23rd birthday on October 10, will meet his good friend Dyson Daniels just three games into the regular season, when the Bulls take on the Atlanta Hawks.
Recently, he secured a USD $100M contract extension with the Bulls following a prolonged negotiation process during the off-season.
