The actor and his girlfriend Alexandra Grant recently ignited marriage speculation, but she quickly took to social media to clarify that they are not yet married. Despite this, the Matrix star mentioned that the rumors didn’t really affect him.
In an exclusive interview with E! News on October 13, during the premiere of his new film Good Fortune, he remarked, “Well, that wasn’t the first time. We’ve been going out for a long time.”
The 61-year-old actor expressed admiration for Alexandra, who he began seeing in 2018, and appreciated her Instagram post addressing the rumors. He said, “The wedding, it’s a nice thing, and people sent many kind messages… but Alexandra did a wonderful job addressing it, like, ‘Thank you, but here’s the reality.’”
Alexandra, 52, humorously clarified on Instagram on September 24 that the photo of them kissing wasn’t an engagement announcement, emphasizing, “This is a real photo… simply a kiss!” She thanked everyone for their well-wishes but made it clear that they had not gotten married, reminding fans to be cautious about “fake news.”
While they haven’t walked down the aisle, Keanu and Alexandra share a solid bond, enjoying several recent date nights together, including the premiere of Good Fortune on October 17 and the opening of Jamie Lloyd’s Broadway production of Waiting for Godot on September 28, where they appeared on the red carpet looking happy. Alexandra had previously celebrated Keanu’s birthday with a heartfelt post.
