SAN FRANCISCO — Clippers’ Preseason Finale Highlights
In their preseason finale, the Clippers were without a trio of future Hall of Famers, providing an opportunity for Bradley Beal to shake off some rust and for a pair of rookies to showcase their potential.
Bradley Beal scored 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting in just 15 minutes during the first half before exiting the game. Meanwhile, Kobe Sanders excelled with 25 points, and Yanic Konan Niederhauser contributed 13 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocked shots, leading the Clippers to a 106-103 victory against the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center.
Kobe Sanders went 8 for 15 from the floor, including 4 for 9 from beyond the arc, and made 5 of 6 free throws in his 37 minutes on the court. Yanic Konan Niederhauser shot 5 for 10 and also dished out three assists in 26 minutes of play. Additional contributions came from Cam Christie with 12 points in 12 minutes, Jordan Miller with seven points and six rebounds, and Kobe Brown who added six points and nine rebounds.
The Clippers were missing stars such as Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, Chris Paul, Brook Lopez, and Nicolas Batum, while veterans Ivica Zubac, Derrick Jones Jr., and Kris Dunn also sat out during the second half after joining Beal on the bench at halftime. This game marked Beal’s only participation in the Clippers’ four preseason matchups.
Looking ahead, the Clippers will kick off their season on Wednesday night against the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City, making this victory a promising sign as they prepare for the regular season.
