Game 3 of the ALDS commenced at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT after being postponed due to severe weather conditions.
DETROIT — The Mariners made a strong statement on Sunday night, achieving a critical 3-2 victory in Game 2 of the American League Division Series. Now, the Tigers aim to bounce back as they return home for the first time in over two weeks.
With the series tied at 1-1, Seattle and Detroit will face off at Comerica Park for Games 3 and 4, both of which are now confirmed to take place. Should the teams split these games, a decisive Game 5 will be held in Seattle on Friday.
“They’re not going to like us over there,” remarked Mariners center fielder Julio Rodríguez, who hit the game-winning single in the eighth inning of Game 2. “Their fans will be supporting the Tigers, just as ours did for us here. We’ll just go out there and play ball. That’s the mentality.”
Tigers manager A.J. Hinch shared his thoughts post-Game 2: “It’s a frustrating loss because every loss during this time is tough, but I’m proud of our team and eager to return home.”
In the current 2-2-1 format of the Division Series, teams that split the initial two away games before returning home for Games 3 and 4 have advanced 30 out of 48 times (62.5%).
When is the game and how can I watch it?
Due to the weather delay, Game 3 between the Mariners and Tigers will stream on FS2, MLB Network, and the FOX One App. All series can be watched in the US on MLB.TV with access through a participating Pay TV provider. The games will also be available internationally, except in Canada. Sportsnet covers MLB’s English broadcasts in Canada, while TVA Sports and Broadcaster RDS handle French coverage of the AL and NL Postseasons, respectively.
