Austin, Texas – NCAA Tournament Round 2
No. 3 Texas Men’s Tennis has progressed to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after a decisive 4-0 victory against Montana at the Texas Tennis Center on Saturday. This marks the Longhorns’ twelfth consecutive year reaching at least the second round, where they will face No. 37 Cornell on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT at the same venue.
Doubles Performance
Texas clinched the doubles point with two strong 6-2 victories at positions Nos. 3 and 2. In singles action, victories came from freshman Sebastian Eriksson at No. 5, senior No. 54 Pierre-Yves Bailly at No. 3, and junior No. 26 Sebastian Gorzny at No. 2.

Eriksson was the first to finish in singles, achieving a perfect 6-0, 6-0 score against Chris Zhang. He faced minimal resistance, with only three games reaching deuce, all of which he won.
