During the fourth week of Sean Combs’ criminal trial, a second alleged victim of sex trafficking, referred to as “Jane,” testified. This emotional witness provided her account pseudonymously.
Prosecutors labeled Jane a victim of sex trafficking through deceit, highlighting her repeated claims of engaging in sexual acts with male escorts in Combs’ presence due to her affection for him and a desire for personal time with the hip-hop mogul.
Jane shared that after she engaged in a “freak-off” in May 2021, she found it impossible to revert to a normal relationship. She described numerous “hotel nights” that characterized their relationship. Despite her attempts to communicate her feelings to Combs, he often dismissed her and wielded his financial support as leverage.
Combs’ reaction to her reluctance about an “all-star” night involving sexual acts with multiple men displayed his indifference. He reportedly told her, “Look at the roof over your head. And that pretty smile… Let it go. Love you.”
Throughout Jane’s emotional testimony, which detailed extensive hours spent in hotel rooms with escorts, Combs exhibited little visible concern. He had been cautioned by U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian about his demeanor during the trial.
Combs is facing a lengthy prison sentence of 15 years to life if convicted on five federal charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
Key highlights from this week included Jane’s impacting testimony, revealing her coercion and distress, as well as audio evidence from a freak-off session. Additionally, dramatic testimonies from other witnesses, including accusations of threats and physical intimidation, continued to unfold, keeping the jury engaged as the trial progresses.
