Hollywood Casino Offers a Taste of What’s to Come in Joliet
Hollywood Casino hosted a culinary preview of its new Joliet location on Thursday, just days ahead of its public opening.
Attendees sampled a range of unique dishes, including root beer-flavored hamburgers, kale taco salads with fresh fruit, and an extensive selection of pizzas. This media event showcased the diverse food options available.
Management highlighted that the casino, situated at the Rock Run Collection near the Interstate 55 and 80 interchange, aims to offer more than just gaming.
The Hollywood Casino Joliet is set to open on Monday, pending successful final tests and audits by state gaming regulators this week.
General Manager Ruben Warren acknowledged that while final approval from the Illinois Gaming Board is necessary, the team is enthusiastic about the upcoming launch, stating, “we are rarin’ to go on Monday.”
The media tour allowed guests to explore eight different culinary establishments within the casino property, with six restaurants located outside the casino itself. This design allows visitors the option to enjoy fine dining without stepping into the gaming area, making it a family-friendly destination.
Restaurants such as Sorellina Giada, helmed by celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis, and the Boulevard Food and Drink Hall, are anticipated to draw guests. The food hall features various gourmet offerings, aiming to create an inviting atmosphere for the community.
