A significant update for Oblivion Remastered has been announced, aimed at tackling some prominent issues within the game.
The beta version of Patch 1.2 is now available on Steam, with hopes for its release on PS5 in the near future.
The most notable feature of this update is the introduction of new difficulty levels. Since its launch in April, players have voiced their concerns about the remaster’s difficulty options, expressing that they are either too simplistic or unduly burdensome.
Players can now modify ‘Player Combat Damage’ and ‘Enemy Combat Damage’ settings to their preference, with a new ‘Journeyman’ difficulty level created to better balance the gap between Adept and Expert.
For some, the most appealing aspect of the update will be improvements to the game’s performance, which has faced criticism. Numerous optimizations have been implemented, resolving persistent frame rate drops in specific areas.
