Financial Overview of the Packers
The financial position at 1265 Lombardi Avenue remains solid.
Annual Profit Reports
The Packers announced an operating profit of $83.7 million for the fiscal year concluding on March 31, 2025, as detailed in their annual financial report released on Wednesday.
Significant Revenue Growth
This profit marks a $23.6 million increase from the previous year’s $60.1 million, a noteworthy rise of 39.3%, largely driven by an unusual situation regarding the number of home games—a scenario that might not recur soon.
Impact of Home Games on Revenue
For the 2024 season, the Packers hosted nine regular-season games at Lambeau Field for the first time. This extra game significantly contributed to a $34.6 million (13.7%) boost in local revenue compared to the previous year. National revenue also rose by $30.3 million (7.5%), reflecting trends in the NFL’s broadcasting contracts and streaming expansion.
Looking Ahead: Future Home Games
The frequency of the ninth regular-season home game at Lambeau is uncertain. With the NFL’s expanding international schedule, the ninth home game could regularly shift overseas. For example, the first instance of a ninth “home” game in 2022 was held in London, while Green Bay’s ninth game in 2024 was played abroad in Brazil.
Operational Investments and Expenses
Mark Murphy, Packers President and CEO, remarked on the successful year, crediting the NFL’s ongoing popularity. The overall revenue increase of $64.9 million (9.9%) was somewhat offset by a $41.3 million (7.0%) rise in expenses, primarily due to higher travel costs and depreciation from investments in team facilities and Lambeau Field.
Community Contributions
In addition to financial successes, the Packers reported a charitable impact of $13 million last year, up from $11 million. The Titletown development, with an investment of approximately $300 million from various stakeholders, is also seen as a valuable community asset, enhancing social and economic conditions in the area.
