DWCS 80, the fourth week of season nine of Dana White’s Contender Series, is here. After a weekend without MMA due to the Labor Day holiday, the atmosphere in competitive fighting is electric once again as the summer schedule nears its conclusion.
Last week’s event at the UFC Apex brought even more thrill to Tuesday night MMA action, with five new contenders gaining UFC contracts from Dana White.
Live coverage of week four starts at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT in the U.S. on ESPN+. For international viewers, DWCS 80 will be available on UFC Fight Pass. As always, the event will feature five bouts held at the UFC Apex in Enterprise, NV.
Main Event: Jack Congdon vs. Jean-Paul Lesbosnoyani
In the main event, welterweights Jack Congdon (7-1 MMA), a Cage Titans veteran, faces Jean-Paul Lesbosnoyani (8-2 MMA), who comes from the LFA. Each fight is limited to three rounds, with five minutes each.
Congdon enters this matchup on a winning streak, having gone 4-1 in his last five outings, including three consecutive victories since September 2022. He recently secured a second-round knockout against Zack Davis (9-8 MMA) in Cage Titans 71 this past May.
Lesbosnoyani also boasts a 4-1 record heading into the fight and has won his last three contests. In his last bout on April 11, he submitted Kegan Gennrich (9-5 MMA) with a rear-naked choke in the first round during the LFA 206 event.
Co-Main Event: Theo Haig vs. Cezary Oleksiejczuk
Following the main event, middleweights Theo Haig (6-0 MMA) and Cezary Oleksiejczuk (15-3 MMA) will square off. Haig has yet to experience a loss in his career and recently finished Said-Magomed Abdulgaziev (7-10 MMA) via a first-round rear-naked choke at LFA 199.
Oleksiejczuk is stepping into the ring for the 19th time as a pro and holds a 4-1 record over his last five fights. He recently defeated Tom Breese (20-6 MMA) in just 90 seconds during FNC 21 in Croatia.
Notable Fight: Mandel Nallo vs. Samuel Silva
The card will also feature a lightweight bout between Mandel Nallo (13-3, 1 NC MMA) and Samuel Silva (13-4-1 MMA). Nallo, a former champion, is currently on a four-fight winning streak but has not competed in nearly a year. His last fight was a first-round submission victory for the vacant title.
On the other hand, Silva is undefeated in his last five fights, having recently dethroned George Hardwick (13-3 MMA) to become the Cage Warriors Lightweight Champion. Can Silva overcome another elite opponent in Nallo?
Additional Fights
DWCS 80 will also showcase two more bouts: a flyweight fight featuring An Tuan Ho (6-1 MMA) against Eduardo Chapolin (14-2 MMA), and a featherweight clash between Tommy McMillen (8-0 MMA) and David Mgoyan (7-0 MMA).
