Call to the Bullpen
The bullpen call has been initiated. In case you haven’t heard, Joe is away for the next few days, so I’ll be handling Screencaps until Wednesday morning.
Unlike last Sunday, I’m well-stocked with coffee for the weekend, though I’m running low on filters. I need to grab some soon to avoid being caught off guard again, and nobody wants that.
Today, I’m writing from my back patio while our downstairs floors are being redone, including my office. As they work on that project, I’m enjoying the sounds of chirping birds and the buzzing of air conditioners.
My inbox is overflowing with emails, particularly from Montana Tim (and Tammy), who has been generating content like an Instagram star. His contributions are filling up my email.
There’s so much from Tim that I’ve divided it between today’s and tomorrow’s columns. It’s all greatly appreciated—keep them coming!
Upcoming Game 7
This weekend features a Game 7 in the NBA Finals, which often leads to disappointment. However, at least one of the fan bases from either the Thunder or Pacers will have a reason to celebrate.
The blowout is scheduled for tomorrow night. Today, we have Game 1 of the College World Series Championship, pitting LSU against Coastal Carolina. Thanks to Livvy Dunne, it’s now being dubbed the “Gooner World Series.” For further explanation, I’ll let the NY Post take over.
Promotional Highlights
The nickname stems from Dunne’s rivalry with actress Madelyn Cline, a brief attendee of Coastal Carolina. I even created a poll to see who people think will win the series.
There’s also a UFC Fight Night and a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event in Texas tonight. The BKFC fight caught my eye because two fighters shared a face-off kiss ahead of their match.
This sweet moment occurred just hours before they attempt to knock each other out. Talk about hype for the fight!
Engaging Reader Feedback

Hi Sean, every time you cover for Joe, I picture that scene from Major League where Lou signals Wild Thing Vaughn to come out of the bullpen. I can only imagine the columns will be wild, and I can’t wait to read them!
Thanks, Harvey! I appreciate it, and I’m glad that the bullpen calls remind you of that classic scene. Let’s make these days count while Joe takes a well-deserved break.
Fishing & Delicious Food
– Montana Tim mentions:
Remember to take a girl fishing! (That’s Montana Tammy!) These are West Slope Cutthroat trout we caught. They went straight from the water to the smoker!
Montana Tim always impresses with his fishing and culinary adventures, making for excellent content as we gear up for a lively summer!
