Selections are made based on tournaments and matches reported on njschoolsports.com from April 16-22.
Matches played on April 23 will be recognized in the following week’s awards.
Boys Tennis Players of the Week
Burlington County Scholastic Conference
Gabe Harvey, Sr. / Zaydan Lalani, Jr., Moorestown Friends
This impressive doubles team notched victories in all their matches last week, including 6-0, 6-0 wins against Cinnaminson and Palmyra, along with a 6-1, 6-3 win against Haddonfield. They also reached the finals at the Burlington County Open.
Big North Conference
Shayan Chatiwala, Wayne Hills, Jr.
Chatiwala won all of his matches this past week, except for one where he beat his opponent 7-5, 6-2. In his three other wins, he dropped only three games combined, showcasing dominant performances against Wayne Valley, Paramus, and Glen Rock.
Cape-Atlantic League
Miguel Manalang, Cedar Creek, Fr.
As a freshman, Manalang has impressed with a flawless 12-0 record, winning each match 6-0, 6-0, including two victories this past week.
Colonial Conference
Christian Erhardt, Haddon Township, Sr.
Erhardt has maintained an unblemished record at first singles this season, winning all nine matches without losing a set. His recent wins included decisive victories over Gateway, St. Augustine, and Mainland.
Union County Conference
Ben Duan, Westfield, Sr.
Duan has bounced back after a challenging last season due to health issues. This year, he has started six matches and secured five wins at both first and second singles, recently defeating opponents from Dayton and New Providence.
