No release date has been confirmed.
About
GUN NOSE is a top-down action mystery adventure set in the intricately designed pixel art city of Ironwood. Players assume the role of Gun Nose, a robotic detective with a shadowy past and a lethal face. Your objective is to locate your absent creator while solving a series of brutal murders committed by a group of Serial Murder-Bots hiding in plain sight.
Each case in the main storyline delves deeper into the city’s tangled layers. The investigations are semi-procedural, featuring unique victims, suspects, clues, and murderers in each session. To solve the mysteries, you’ll need to interrogate suspects, analyze evidence, and pinpoint the distinct signatures of the killers. The environment can be perilous, and suspects may retaliate fiercely.
The game’s combat is real-time and intense. As you edge closer to the truth, suspects may unleash Psychic Hacks that conjure ghostly electrical projections with the intent to harm you.
You won’t face this challenge alone; your odd AI companion, Jiminy Drive, along with a group of unexpected allies, will assist you in setting traps, uncovering secrets, and tackling the growing conspiracy rooted in the city’s heart.
Setting
Don’t let the nostalgic visuals mislead you; beneath its retro facade, GUN NOSE utilizes cutting-edge design and technology. Exploring Ironwood reveals residents engaging in everyday activities such as shopping, dining, and working, all while observing your actions. They might ask for assistance in finding a lost pet or challenge you to a race—all while keeping their routines and personal stories distinct.
None of the characters are mere background filler; each one has been crafted with a unique look, personality, history, and timetable. You’ll learn their habits and connections as you navigate the city. But beware: in Ironwood, anyone can be the victim or the perpetrator, and once someone is lost, they’re gone forever.
Characters
Amid the chaos of the procedural environment, a vibrant cast of characters will aid you in solving cases. However, each character has their own secrets, which you’ll discover as the search for your missing creator unfolds.
- Dyna Might – An enthusiastic rookie assigned to your cases. Her expertise in explosives ensures you’ll have powerful support.
- Slack Ballista – A seasoned officer with sharp instincts but a low tolerance for robotic detectives. Gain his respect, and he might assist you.
- Virgil – The main investigator at the Bloodsucker’s Detective Agency, he may hand cases to you for the right price.
- Commissioner Crane – Overseeing the MurderBot cases with an iron fist… when she’s not on the lookout for a date.
- The Gunsmith – Your mysterious creator who has completely vanished.
- Jimini-Drive – Your witty AI partner, designed by the Gunsmith to manage your internal systems and assist with detective work.
Murder Bots
The Murder Bots are integral to every case in GUN NOSE, each uniquely crafted. Every bot has specific motives and methods, showcasing distinctive behaviors and visual clues. While they come in various forms, they always blend into the surroundings.
Identifying them requires careful questioning and thorough analysis of the crime scene; some will leave clues, while others may disappear without a trace. Knowledge is just one part of the challenge—once you’ve identified a Murder Bot, you must apprehend it.
