Google is preparing to unveil its latest Pixel 10 lineup at the Made By Google event on August 20. Among the four new models, the Pixel 10 Pro will take the lead as the flagship, combining power with a manageable size. Although specific details remain limited, the new design emphasizes continuity while enhancing software competitiveness.
FCC Information on Pixel 10 Pro
Update, Sunday July 13, 2025: Prior to reaching consumers, wireless devices require certification from national authorities. In the U.S., this involves manufacturers submitting details about their unreleased products to the Federal Communications Commission, which then publishes these certifications publicly.
This makes the FCC a reliable source for pre-launch information. Recent filings reveal insights into the Pixel 10 series, particularly the Pixel 10 Pro, which, alongside the standard Pixel 10, will feature wireless charging and Wi-Fi 6E support. Notably, only the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL will include Thread support and UWB connectivity.
Pixel 10 Pro’s Recent Discoveries
This week provided a clearer image of the Pixel 10 Pro, as photos of the device surfaced on a Chinese auction platform. These appear to be advanced pre-release units, likely undergoing Design Validation or Engineering Validation Testing, used to finalize design before mass production.
The design modifications mirror what we can expect from the final models, showcasing a revamped camera bar reminiscent of the Pixel 9, along with a potential new periscope lens. The front features smaller bezels and retains a centered punch-out for the selfie camera.
Design Continuity and Future Variants
The Pixel 9 Pro design closely followed the Pixel 9’s layout, and the upcoming Pixel 10 is anticipated to take a similar route. In addition to the standard Pixel 10, we may see an upgraded Pro version and a larger Pro XL model, along with a folding variant, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. This means some design elements seen this week could also apply to the base model.
The revised camera bar and streamlined edges seen during a Vancouver shoot in May suggest that the Pixel 10 will also incorporate a multi-lens camera setup. This indicates a consistent direction in design, even as specifications are boosted.
Future Impact on Software
While the Pixel 10 series features subtle evolutionary design updates from the Pixel 9, it offers a more polished overall appearance. Though it may not stand out against rivals like Samsung and Apple, it will still hold its ground. The significant influence of the Pixel 10 series lies in software innovations, as Google continues to leverage its devices to promote Artificial Intelligence in mobile technology, a strategy highlighted at the recent I/O Developers conference.
