The 2028 recruiting class is making its presence known on a national level, with Rivals unveiling its first comprehensive Rivals300 rankings for this cycle.
Last May, a watchlist featuring 100 prospects was shared, showcasing notable players ahead of their sophomore years. Since then, many newcomers have emerged, particularly those playing their first varsity seasons this fall. This development leads to the initial update in rankings, set to culminate in December 2027 with National Signing Day.
At the beginning of the cycle, three players have received five-star ratings, a number that is expected to rise to 32 by the conclusion to align with the first round of the NFL Draft. As we launch ranking release day, Rivals is spotlighting the top 15 prospects in the class with insights provided by the scouting and ranking team:
Jett Harrison – St. Joseph’s Prep School (PA)
Scout’s Insight: “Jett Harrison leads what is a superb top tier in the wide receiver class early in the 2028 cycle. He’s a highly polished receiver with exceptional ball skills and route-running. His sophomore year included remarkable contested catches and the ability to create separation on the field. Brysen Wright – Mandarin (Jacksonville, FL)
