The NFL will release its complete schedule for the 2025 season tonight at 5:00 p.m. PT. As is usual, some matchups have leaked prior to the official announcement. This tracker consolidates those early reports leading up to the schedule’s full release.
The San Francisco 49ers are set to play each NFC West opponent twice. Additionally, they will compete against the last-place teams from the NFC North (Bears), NFC East (Giants), and AFC North (Browns). Their schedule will also include games against all teams in the NFC South and AFC South.

The NFL season begins on Thursday, September 4, with the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles taking on the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field. The season will close with Super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, which is the 49ers’ home field.
San Francisco won’t participate in any international games this season since those matchups have already been announced by the NFL. They will also not have games on Thanksgiving or Christmas.
