Venture Into Blackwing Lair Raid
In the sinister depths of Blackrock Mountain, Nefarian, Deathwing’s eldest son, engages in horrific experiments, manipulating powerful beings and merging dragonflight eggs with sinister outcomes. Should he succeed, even darker ambitions await.
The foreboding Blackwing Lair beckons those willing to confront its perils. Rally your most trusted companions and prepare for a perilous expedition into the mountain’s core to claim the hidden treasures.
Raid Bosses: 8
Level: 60
Location: Blackwing Lair is situated at the summit of Blackrock Spire—access it from either the Burning Steppes or the Searing Gorge.
After you complete the attunement, you will encounter eight formidable bosses, each demanding unique tactics to overcome. Close coordination with your raid team will be essential to secure victory.
Equipment Perks
Players can continue their journey towards obtaining the Tier 2 set, featuring items like bracers, belts, boots, gloves, shoulders, and chests from Blackwing Lair.
You can acquire Tier 2 helmets in Onyxia’s Lair, while legs can be obtained from Ragnaros in Molten Core.
Notable Loot
Additional valuable items include the Claw of the Black Drake, Chromatically Tempered Sword, and Dragonbreath Hand Cannon. You can also acquire Elementium Ore from the Blackwing Technician, which can be smelted into Elementium Bar—needed for the quest line to forge the legendary weapon Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker.
Much like Onyxia, upon defeating Nefarian, you can loot the Head of Nefarian, initiating a quest to proclaim your triumph.
