Chase Sexton’s Potential Role in Team USA
Could Chase Sexton‘s recent victory and comments indicate he may be the third representative for Team USA? It’s almost confirmed that Eli Tomac will participate in the 450 class for the MXGP, while Haiden Deegan is expected to ride in the MX2 (250) division. The slot for the Open class, however, remains unconfirmed. Although Cooper Webb was a strong contender prior to his injury, Aaron Plessinger is currently facing health issues. Justin Cooper is also in the running, despite yet to secure a 450 victory.
Sexton’s Comeback and Team Dynamics
Sexton’s injury during the outdoor opener at Fox Raceway in May appeared to sideline him. Additionally, there are rumors suggesting his team switch post-SMX Playoffs. Nevertheless, Chase delivered an impressive performance at Washougal, halting Jett Lawrence‘s streak of undefeated races. Post-race, when questioned by Lewis Phillips from Vital MX, Chase responded, “I’m in,” before the question was even fully asked. The trio of Tomac, Deegan, and Sexton seems to be the ideal selection, so if all athletes maintain good health, they stand a strong chance in October!
MXoN to Return to the U.S. in 2031
In related news, Infront Moto Racing recently announced the MXoN is set to return to the U.S. in 2031, in collaboration with MX Sports Pro Racing, similar to this year and in 2028, though a host track hasn’t been determined yet. The Martin brothers have even expressed interest in Spring Creek Motocross Park! Infront enjoys bringing the MXoN to the U.S. every few years due to the prominent presence of Team USA and the SMX industry here, as well as a significant foreign rider base. There’s also an immense local fanbase for this major annual motocross event, and we are proud to be part of it.
The Anticipation of Loretta Lynn’s 2025
I’m unsure if this message is intended more for my own therapy or for others, but with Friday here, I felt it was time to share about the upcoming motocross industry gathering at Loretta Lynn’s in 2025!
The Importance of the Loretta Lynn’s Championship
It’s finally upon us—one of the most significant yet stressful times for our family. The Loretta Lynn’s AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship is the largest amateur race globally. Attending and being competitive requires extensive preparation well before reaching Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. I’m sure I’m not alone; countless families plan vacations around this event, rearranging work schedules and putting in overtime to afford the Loretta Lynn’s experience. From bike maintenance to travel arrangements, getting to the event is a considerable undertaking.
Shared Experiences Among Families
Many families can relate to the sacrifices involved. While I may not want to dedicate all this time and money to racing dirt bikes, the joy of sharing this passion with family is what keeps us coming back. Arriving at the Ranch, I see many similar middle-class families making it work to provide opportunities for their children that they perhaps didn’t have.
A Salute to Fellow Competitors
To all participants racing at the Ranch next week, our family applauds you for the sacrifices made to be there. Enjoy the week shared with others who love this sport just as you do. It doesn’t matter if “Lil Johnny” aims for a factory ride or if you’re attending for the bucket-list experience; the memories made at this venue will last a lifetime.
