We are focusing on the latter half of the matches in the round of 16 at the WTA Adelaide tournament today. With the Australian Open approaching, several top players have chosen to forgo Adelaide. Nevertheless, there are still exciting matches and betting opportunities available. Here are my top bets for the upcoming matches. Have any bets been successful for you? Feel free to share in the comments!
WTA Adelaide
Shnaider – Siniakova: Time 20:30
H2H: 1-1
Diana Shnaider and Katerina Siniakova are set to face each other for the third time, with their head-to-head tied at one win each from their two prior 2025 encounters. Siniakova won their first-round match at WTA Wuhan in straight sets, while Shnaider claimed victory in this same tournament after a bizarre match that saw her win 6-3, lose 0-6, and then win the third set 6-0. Both players have a 2-1 record this year, with Shnaider losing to Madison Keys and Siniakova falling to Elena Gabriela Ruse.
Best Bet to Make
The odds have Shnaider at a strong 2-1 favorite, closer to 2.25-1. Shnaider boasts a 6-4 record in her last ten matches, while Siniakova sits at 7-3. Shnaider reached the quarterfinals here last year, but Siniakova has yet to make it past the round of 16 in Adelaide. I recommend betting on Shnaider straight up at 1.67 via Pinnacle. However, if you’re leaning towards an upset, Siniakova at 2.43 on Betfair could be a wise choice.
That being said, Shnaider winning is certainly a value bet.
Value bet/the best odds: Shnaider winning @1.67 @10Bet
Putintseva – Navarro: Time 22:00
H2H: 0-1
The match between Yulia Putintseva and Emma Navarro is particularly intriguing. Putintseva reached the semifinals at WTA Adelaide in 2025, and their only previous encounter went to three sets with 33 games and two tie-breaks. Putintseva holds a 5-2 record this year, while Navarro is 1-1 after a loss to Francesca Jones, who is currently ranked No. 69 in the world.
Best Bet to Make
Navarro enters this match as the favorite, with odds averaging around 2.39 to 1.56 in her favor. While betting on Navarro straight up is tempting, their previous match suggests a competitive matchup. You could potentially earn more by betting on over 2.5 sets rather than on Navarro straight. If you believe Navarro will dominate and win in straight sets, you might consider taking her 2:0 for 2.5 odds on Bet365, but it seems more likely this match could go to a third set.
That said, Over 2.5 sets is definitely a value bet.
Value bet/the best odds: Over 2.5 sets @2.44 @Betsson
Valentova – Keys: Time 17:00
H2H: 0-0
In our featured match, Tereza Valentova takes on Madison Keys for their first encounter. Notably, Keys won this tournament last year, while this is Valentova’s debut at the event. Though Valentova has a 3-1 record this year, her best victory was against Jelena Ostapenko, ranked No. 24. In contrast, Keys, ranked No. 9 worldwide, has only lost to the current World No. 1, Aryna Sabalenka.
Best Bet to Make
Keys is favored for a reason and is arguably the best bet left to win the tournament. However, it’s worth noting her inconsistent end to 2025; she’s only 5-5 in her last ten matches and ended on a four-match losing streak. Despite this, she has notable wins recently, including against Shnaider, McCartney Kessler, and Venus Williams. If you bet on Keys, I recommend going for a straight win at 1.73 on William Hill.
That being said, Keys winning is indeed a value bet.
