Each week, I engage in approximately 60% of my action through “cash games.” These games consist of contests where about half the participants earn payouts, including formats like head-to-head, double up, or 50/50. I aim to maximize head-to-head matchups weekly, complemented by other cash games. I prepare one cash lineup for DraftKings and another for FanDuel.
I will discuss my cash game lineups here weekly. While I may experience losses, I aspire to achieve more wins overall. Regardless of the outcomes, I will share my lineup choices and the reasoning behind them.
This week featured a cash slate that I found favorable, with great punt options at quarterback, solid value among running backs, and a narrowed selection of wide receivers.
MY MUST PLAYS
* If you didn’t include Kyle Monangai in your cash lineup, it’s time to reassess your strategy. With D’Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson absent, Monangai faced minimal competition for backfield touches against a Bengals team that ranked last in our DvP metrics for running backs. This opportunity at a $4600 price point is exceptional.
* Christian McCaffrey continues to be a premier cash game choice. Facing the Giants and priced under $9000 makes him a must-have. He is currently second in the NFL for rushing attempts and third for targets.
* Despite concerns regarding Joe Flacco’s shoulder sprain, I felt confident after thorough research. Reports indicated that he was only rested and practiced well. Therefore, I couldn’t overlook Ja’Marr Chase’s significant target share with Flacco playing at home against the Bears.
MY WANT PLAYS
* For my cash quarterback options on DraftKings, I considered two: Jaxson Dart ($5200) and Caleb Williams ($5700). They ranked as the two best salary-adjusted QBs on the slate. Despite Caleb having a slightly higher projection, Dart’s rushing ability and the injury-stricken 49ers defense influenced my choice.
Week 9 Results
Devin Singletary’s unexpectedly high playtime compared to Tyrone Tracy made my decision look poor, though Henderson didn’t completely let me down. On a positive note, choosing the Falcons D/ST over the Giants made a significant impact. Overall, I felt my DraftKings lineup was solid and would likely perform well in future slates.
