[Updated 10/13] The Housing Feature Test on the Public Test Realms (PTR) is temporarily postponed. We will provide updates with further information soon.
With the Ghosts of K’aresh behind, Azeroth faces a future marked by the looming presence of Xal’atath and the ever-encroaching Void. In The Warning, the groundwork is laid for future developments as the narrative progresses into the Midnight expansion. Players will also find a welcoming return as Housing Early Access begins!
Advancing The War Within Campaign
Having laid the Ghosts of K’aresh to rest, a new peril emerges. Vereesa Windrunner experiences visions of impending doom: a grave prophecy concerning the fall of Quel’thalas. You will delve deeper into The War Within campaign to uncover the signs that lie ahead.
Housing Early Access
As part of this content update, players who have added Midnight to their accounts will access Housing Early Access. Here are some initial features:
- Decor Collection/Room Decorating
- Room Layouts
- Neighborhoods
- Guild/Charter Neighborhood Creation
- Legacy Content Rewards
- Profession Rewards
- Flying in Neighborhoods
- New Housing Tutorial
Housing for Returning Players
Returning players will receive a quest leading them to the Housing tutorial, enabling them to learn about homeownership and decoration.
Housing for New Players
New players to World of Warcraft with Midnight will proceed through the New Player Experience until they complete the initial tutorial on the boat. At the conclusion, they can choose to continue the New Player Experience or directly access the Housing tutorial.
Players Without Midnight
Players who do not yet own Midnight can visit Neighborhoods and collect Housing items through various activities, including quests from NPCs in Orgrimmar, Stormwind, and Dornogal. However, they won’t be able to purchase a home or join a Neighborhood without the expansion.
Experiences for New and Returning Players
Whether you are new or returning after a break, we have resources for you. New players will enjoy a more refined New Player Experience. Additionally, returning players will have a guided Returning Player Experience to help reacquaint them with gameplay and lead them towards the latest content in World of Warcraft. More information can be found in our previous article.
