Overview of Summer Game Fest 2025
The Summer Game Fest commenced on Friday with a two-hour event reminiscent of traditional E3 showcases. Host Geoff Keighley unveiled numerous game updates, fresh announcements, and a few surprises, including the highly anticipated release dates for some elusive titles. New Titles and Updates
The franchise is set to undergo a significant change with the next mainline Resident Evil game, titled Resident Evil Requiem, launching on February 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X, bringing players back to Raccoon City. Additionally, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio revealed its upcoming game, formerly known as Project Century, which is now titled Stranger Than Heaven and is set in the early 20th century.
Returning Favorites
Scott Pilgrim fans can rejoice as a new game, Scott Pilgrim EX, is set to release in 2026, developed by Tribute Games, who previously brought us the beloved Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Moreover, Yacht Club Games announced that Mina the Hollower will be available on October 31.
Exciting New Releases
From publisher Annapurna Interactive comes Lego Voyagers, a co-op adventure for two players centered on building spaceships and nurturing friendships. Capcom also showcased Onimusha: Way of the Sword, a sequel arriving next year, along with a fresh narrative glimpse of Mafia: The Old Country.
Diverse Game Showcases
The event revealed various titles, including the new DLC for Lies of P, set to be available immediately, and the first gameplay for Dying Light: The Beast, launching on August 22.
