One Battle After Another was awarded Best Picture at the Critics Choice Awards this past Sunday.
Additionally, Paul Thomas Anderson received the Best Director award for his work on the film.
Meanwhile, Sinners took home four awards, including Best Casting and Ensemble, a new category introduced this year, awarded to Francine Maisler. The film’s Miles Caton was recognized as Best Young Actor or Actress, while Ryan Coogler won for Best Original Screenplay and Ludwig Göransson secured Best Score.
In acting categories, Timothée Chalamet won Best Actor for Marty Supreme, and Jessie Buckley took Best Actress for Hamnet. Jacob Elordi was named Best Supporting Actor for Frankenstein, while Amy Madigan won Best Supporting Actress for Weapons.
For limited series, Sarah Snook from All Her Fault and Erin Doherty, Stephen Graham, and Owen Cooper from Adolescence claimed acting honors, with the latter winning Best Limited Series. Jimmy Kimmel Live! was named Best Talk Show.
In drama series, the acting winners included Noah Wyle and Katherine LaNasa for The Pitt, Tramell Tillman for Severance, and Rhea Seehorn for Pluribus. The Studio was awarded Best Comedy Series. Seth Rogen from the show won alongside Jean Smart of Hacks in the comedy series categories.
The ceremony, hosted for the fourth consecutive year by Chelsea Handler, aired live from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, showcasing the year’s best in film and television, along with the introduction of four new categories: Best Variety Series, Stunt Design, Sound, and Casting/Ensemble.
