Liverpool Struggles
While it’s clear that Liverpool is facing challenges right now, the overarching question regarding managerial roles is whether clubs hire managers expecting them to navigate difficulties when they arise. If not, they may have chosen the wrong person.
In the past, managers would enter a new season with a fresh start, tackling issues as they saw fit, since they were often the ones most qualified to identify what was needed for improvement. Nowadays, a few bad results can lead to a manager’s quick dismissal before they get a chance to turn things around.

Despite widespread criticism of Slot regarding various decisions, including his treatment of Chiesa, there’s hope that they can secure victories in the upcoming matches. If results don’t improve, pressure will mount for ownership to consider a managerial change. However, instead of hastily firing him, a more strategic approach in selecting a potential successor could be preferable, allowing Slot time to address the current challenges.
