The 2025 NFL Draft is approaching in less than three weeks, with all Pro Days now completed after Colorado‘s NFL Showcase held last week. Each of the NFL’s 32 teams is now working on finalizing their draft strategies, along with various NFL Draft analysts.
NFL.com draft expert Chad Reuter has released his latest predictions for the first five rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft, highlighting potential first-round trades that could influence the draft’s progression. His updated mock draft reveals some unexpected destinations for top QBs, particularly with the New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks looking to secure their future quarterbacks.
Explore Chad Reuter’s updated five-round mock draft 3.0 below:
1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami
This selection seems almost confirmed after the Titans allegedly canceled workouts with Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. Should they keep the first pick, Reuter predicts that Tennessee will officially part ways with Will Levis and choose Cam Ward at the No. 1 position.
Reuter emphasizes Ward’s “leadership, arm strength, and ability to create plays on the run” as key factors for the Titans’ choice following a standout performance where he recorded an FBS-leading 39 touchdown passes and threw for 4,313 yards with a 67.2% completion rate in 2024.
3. New York Giants: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
Despite signing veteran quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston during free agency, the Giants aren’t holding back at No. 3 and are poised to secure their future signal-caller in Sanders. He topped the FBS with a 74% completion rate, amassing 4,134 passing yards and 37 touchdowns in 2024.
Brian Daboll reinforced New York’s interest in Sanders by attending Colorado’s NFL Showcase, something he hadn’t done with any other player thus far.
