Tiger Woods’ Sun Day Red Unveils New Carolina Collection for PGA Championship
Sun Day Red, Tiger Woods’ clothing brand, has launched a new collection inspired by the Carolinas just before golf’s second major event of the season, the PGA Championship.
Although Woods himself is not participating at Quail Hollow Club, his brand will be represented by 23-year-old PGA Tour star Karl Vilips, who recently secured his first title at the Puerto Rico Open.
Vilips shared with GolfMagic a text from Woods congratulating him after his victory. The new Carolina Collection has been designed drawing on Woods’ wealth of experience as a 15-time major winner, catering to the ever-changing conditions of spring.
Woods, aged 49, boasts four PGA Championship titles (1999, 2000, 2006, and 2007) and is currently recovering from surgery for a ruptured Achilles tendon. This collection will make its debut at the PGA Championship, where Vilips will wear select pieces.
The Carolina Collection, influenced by the vibrant culture and golfing heritage of the Carolinas, is crafted with a palette of cool blues, gentle mint tones, and bright whites, embodying the essence of spring challenges.
As Sun Day Red’s Senior Creative Director Caje Moye emphasizes, the collection reflects the traditional charm of Charlotte and has been meticulously designed to ensure optimal performance. The garments feature advanced technical qualities to adapt to varied conditions throughout the day.
Available on the Sun Day Red website, the collection includes polos starting at $115 and trousers from $165. With its unique design and premium quality, the Carolina Collection aims to support golfers’ performance during critical tournament moments.
