Collins and Saville have met before on the WTA Tour, with Collins winning their encounter in the first round of the 2019 Fed Cup. For Saville to have a rematch, she will need to elevate her ranking, as she currently sits at 164th and may not secure entry into many main draws.
Struggling with her ranking recently, Saville has participated in only eight main draw matches in 2025, securing three victories, all at the Merida Open. Notably, she reached the semifinals there, narrowly missing the opportunity for her sixth WTA final.
