Family Business of Boxing Titles
The Silva family is deeply involved in the world of boxing. Tuti, Alejandro Silva’s wife, is a two-time world champion, while Alejandro is setting his sights on securing his own world title.
On October 4th, Alejandro “El Cuervo” Silva, who remains undefeated, will enter the ring in Colombia. He views this match as a crucial step toward chasing a world title in the near future.
This fight will mark his second bout since joining Patrick Ragan’s Westside Promotions, and Ragan is enthusiastic about Alejandro’s potential. “His debut performance for Westside was memorable, as he scored a TKO in the fourth round last April in Argentina,” Ragan stated.
With an impressive professional record of 25 wins, 0 losses, and 1 draw, including 20 knockouts, Alejandro has built his career on a formidable amateur background. He achieved 54 victories in 60 amateur fights, notably defeating an Argentine Olympic team member at the National Championships.
Ragan highlighted Alejandro’s strengths: “He’s a pressure fighter with power in both hands and excellent boxing skills. His boxing IQ is high. Argentina has produced fantastic fighters, and I believe Alejandro will be among them.” Looking to the future, Ragan is optimistic: “I’m confident Alejandro will be in line for a world title opportunity by the end of 2026.”
In an interview, Silva expressed excitement about his upcoming fight, stating, “I always love training; it’s my passion.” He plans to remain focused on the October match before possibly returning to the ring in December if all goes well. Alejandro is determined to make his mark and join the ranks of Argentina’s boxing greats, emphasizing pride in representing his country.
