Despite a torrent of leaks and speculation leading up to today’s Made by Google event, Google managed to maintain some surprises about the Pixel 10 until the event itself, even previously releasing a teaser video a month ago to acknowledge its existence.
The event itself was notably entertaining, hosted by Jimmy Fallon in a style reminiscent of late-night talk shows. Several guests from various fields, including media and sports, joined Google’s team to showcase the new products and features announced today.

Introducing Pixel Watch 4
The new Pixel Watch 4 features enhanced fitness capabilities, including real-time exercise guidance. Importantly, it can also recognize when a workout has been overlooked and will prompt users to start, ensuring that every effort is acknowledged. This watch stands out as the only smartwatch able to detect a lack of pulse and contact emergency services automatically.
Affordable Pixel Buds 2a
Adjoining the Pixel Buds 2 Pro, the new Pixel Buds 2a offer wireless sound at a lower price point of $130. They include active noise cancellation, a lightweight design, and an adjustable fit for comfort during prolonged use.
Enhancements for Pixel Buds Pro 2
A forthcoming software update will introduce features for Pixel Buds Pro 2 users, enabling answering calls or sending them to voicemail simply by nodding or shaking their heads. Additionally, they can engage with the Gemini assistant directly in noisy environments while benefiting from adaptive audio features that allow for essential sounds to come through.
AI Innovations: Magic Cue
Google introduced Magic Cue, a Gemini-powered assistant designed to analyze previous communications and extract relevant details like reservations and flight schedules. This feature runs locally on the Pixel device, reinforcing user privacy by not transmitting sensitive data to the cloud.
Future AI Developments
During a panel discussion, Rick Osterloh hinted at the future possibilities of AI, mentioning that advanced features, like planning activities based on user preferences, could launch sooner than expected within the year.
Camera and Charging Features
The Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL now integrate Pro Res Zoom technology, enabling zoom up to 100x with AI assistance. Furthermore, the phones support Qi2 magnetic charging, called Pixelsnap by Google, designed to connect with various accessories, including those from Apple’s ecosystem.
