Bernard Tomic names Novak Djokovic as the ‘greatest of all time’ over Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer
In a recent appearance on the Changeover podcast, former world number 17 Bernard Tomic revealed his view on who he considers the greatest player in tennis history.
“When Novak [Djokovic] was in his prime, no one could compare to him,” Tomic stated. “When he was on his game, he would dominate Roger [Federer] 6-2, 6-2, and Rafael [Nadal] 6-2, 6-1. He was that exceptional. He is the greatest, and no one will come close to him.”
Reflecting on his encounters with other top players, Tomic noted he faced Djokovic five times, losing each match. He also recounted his limited play against Nadal and Federer, acknowledging their prowess.
Tomic has fought hard on the court but has faced challenges against the elite, particularly against Andy Murray, with a record of never winning a set against him.
Despite his struggles against top-tier competitors, Tomic has achieved some success, accumulating eight wins against top-ten players during his career, one of which was against a top-five opponent.
